A battalion of Kuromas gathered in the front garden of the women’s dormitory.

They didn’t doubt the victory of Hiyuuga Takeshi.

Even though they were keeping an eye on the roof, they could barely see the high-speed battle of the Shiroganes because they only had the kinetic vision of ordinary people.

Furthermore, Hiyuuga was a fairly fast Shirogane, and Haruka was several levels faster.

They had no idea what was going on now, but no one felt uneasy.

And──

Something that was clear to their eyes fell from above.

– Hey… is that…?

Many of those who noticed it pointed at it falling from the roof.

Their eyes were focused on it as it bounced and rolled from the impact after being thrown to the ground.

It was Hiyuuga’s hand still holding the curved sword.

A shiver ran down the backs of the Kuromas.

– H-Hiyuuga-san was killed!?

– Impossible… that Hiyuuga-san?

Some people couldn’t accept the situation immediately, but there was no way to interpret it other than that Hiyuuga had lost to the students, or was about to be defeated.

– Head to the roof and provide fire support!

Before long, someone shouted in surprise, and everyone complied.

The original plan was for Hiyuuga to go to the roof alone and persuade the students, or to make them surrender by showing the difference in ability; it was a plan to deal with it calmly. The opponents were teenagers.

But they couldn’t say that anymore.

They couldn’t make light of the opponents who defeated Hiyuuga.

There was no choice but to──shoot them dead with a volley of offensive Dark Arts.

Suppressing their impatience, everyone began to chant and spell solemnly.

But──something fell from the sky again.

Moreover, it was even more brutal.

A black, round object roared and flew at high speed.

Many people recalled 「shells」 in their minds.

Their guess wasn’t wrong at all. However, it wasn’t the kind of conventional weapon used by the army, but shells and shrapnel formed from lumps of mana.

They exploded over the heads of the Kuromas, becoming endless pebbles and raining incessantly on them.

It wasn’t a magic weapon intended to kill or injure, they were bullets used for suppression that didn’t hurt or immobilize, they hit people’s heads and made them fall asleep, but they had an immediate effect on the Kuromas who were physically no different from ordinary people.

They collapsed in a noisy manner, and even those who were lucky enough to not be within the effective range ran away when they suddenly saw the bullets, and the next ones, coming flying from the sky.

Chanting and spelling were out of the question.

– W-where is the shelling coming from!?

– Retreat! Retreaaaaaat!

They left the women’s dormitory while screaming.

Shrapnel of mana mercilessly rained down on their backs, and even more victims appeared.

Leaving behind and abandoning such allies, those who somehow survived retreated in panic.
